BLOG 8: my english experience


 Good afternoon Professor and colleagues

 In this last blog I will comment on my experience learning English at the university. First of all, I come with a minimum of English from my elementary and high school education. After the English test that is done at the beginning of the career obviously I was going to be in elementary English or English 1 since I know little or nothing of English today being in English four out of five I can say that I have learned, with sweat and tears but I have learned. At first I found it useless to study English at the university but seeing the existing job offers it is easier and they are looking for more kindergarten teachers who know an intermediate or advanced level of English and this is a plus in our curriculum and in the long run a saving of money because otherwise I would have to take the English course privately.

The use of blogs has been a new method for me and very useful because it allows me to complement the ideas that I have in my head in Spanish and look it up through a dictionary or talking to my friend who studies international tourism, it has given me the option to improve my English and also increase my vocabulary. 

My idea and my goal is to improve my oral communication at first by listening and singing songs and I have seen applications to converse in English with native Americans and another option that I am using is the duolingo application. 

In my daily life or outside of classes I don't occupy much English apart from helping my cousins' classes and playing daily on the duolingo app.

 Good afternoon professor and colleagues The changes I would like to make in my program of study at the curriculum level would be to add practical branches, for example planning, also on curricular documents, but mainly I would focus more on the work with the family and the community. In order to add these branches to the curriculum, I would remove complementary branches to the area such as philosophy and epistemology of social sciences, social constructions on childhood and also PEDAGOGICAL LEADERSHIP, PROFESSIONAL NETWORKS AND COMMUNICATIVE RESOURCES.  Regarding the workload during the course, I would like to make some small modifications to the organization of our semester, for example: not to leave all the evaluations for the end of the semester, starting from the third week, in addition to making deliveries and evaluation times more flexible.  I would like to go to the XXII century to know how will be the life we are going to have and if it is going to do as it is now and we will have to live in the same misery or we will be valued all the same, if it were possible I would do it all in the same way on the same date that we are currently living, I would like to enjoy that moment touring places like the malls, parks, entertainment centers such as disco, pub, I would like to see the technological advances for the home and the personal use of each of these objects and how the personal vehicles will be and see the advances in firefighters like the fire trucks, barracks and uniforms for firefighters, but I would not stay there because maybe the people I love right now would no longer be there. my future job

After finishing my career as a kindergarten educator, I would like in the future to work in the health area, specifically to be an occupational therapist, I imagine myself working in my personal practice with my best friend and other professionals, focused on the children's area or also in the geriatric area, always with a humanized treatment to the patient. This work is done indoors in offices, patients' homes or hospital wards, although sometimes it can be done outdoors in parks. The salary is not a main priority for me if the work makes me happy is much more important. But the average salary is over 850,000 pesos in the areas mentioned above (pediatric and geriatric).
